From 9:00 am to noon, we invite our haumana to come eat, fellowship, fit for class uniforms, and learn the Hālau ‘Oli. What a great ice-breaker, huh?!?

Registration for our Grand “Re”Opening Session is officially open. Enrollment is limited to 25 haumana (students) per class and available slots are awarded on a first come first served basis.

After teaching Hula from 1996 to 2004, we took an 8 year hiatus to start our family.  Now that our three keiki are at an independent age, we are excited to start teaching again!  We cordially invite you to join our Hula ‘ohana here on the West side of O’ahu. Classes start on Saturday, August 4, 2012.

Course Curriculum

  • Hula Classes

    We teach men and women ages 5 years old through adults. New haumana (students) enter the hālau at Level 1 which concentrates on the fundamentals of hula basics, movement, posture, chanting, language, protocols and body strengthening.

    As the haumana increases in skill and knowledge, they are migrated to Level 2 (intermediate) and Level 3 (advanced) hula classes.

  • Hawaiian Music Ensemble

    This class is geared to learning 'ukulele, guitar, bass and/or singing parts while working on Hawaiian musical arrangements and language.

    Students will have the opportunity to fine-tune their skills by performing at rehearsals, parties, performances and competitions.
